Mac Dunlop, is the founder of The Poetry Point, a writer for radio and author of the recent small collection “Solarium“.

Mac will be working with you in The Writers’ Block on recognising and working with your own ‘writing space’. Writing is both fun and a discipline, and finding the place you write from can be just as important as the right pen, a comfy chair or a quiet place. In an ideal world your writing space would be like an internal suitcase that you can unpack and set up anywhere. But then again, who lives in an ideal world?
This workshop will go through some writing techniques and exercises to help with focusing on developing your internal writing space, and from there your ways of seeing.
We’ll start with one of the most well known poems from the 20th century, The Red Wheelbarrow, by William Carlos Williams and we’ll find time to read and discuss your own writing and inspiration during the workshop too.
