Romantics to Realists – For the Love of Poetry – Session 3

An introduction to some of the most inspiring poetry in the English language. A short series of sessions with Rob Lane, former head of English, exploring British and American poetry from the 19th century to present day.

Each session will illuminate the poems, exploring key themes, uniting and leading us from love to war and human issues that have inspired the poets. Starting with Tennyson and Whitman, to Douglas, Porter and Sainte-Marie.

If you have yet to encounter poetry – or if you’d like to meet an old friend in a different setting – join us.

Mon 2, 9 Oct      1-4pm  and Mon 16 Oct 12-3pm   £12 per session or £30 for all three events when booked in advance.
