City Storm

rule

There was once a day when there was a massive storm.

The clouds were as dark as night but the lightening lit up the sky for a few seconds. In those short few seconds the monstrous clouds raged towards us, the wind had grown stronger – like 10,000 men pushing an unstoppable barrier through the city; adults running with screaming children in their arms; this unforgiving storm shattered glass from buildings, creating a shimmering blanket, like snow, over a shining city.

And when the lightning struck again, for a moment everything glowed amber like something from a fairytale before darkness fell and reality resumed once more.

    Dear Charleigh
I really like the juxtaposition of total destruction and beauty. You are briefly lulled into a sense of security but no this is catastrophic. I want to know more!
    Best wishes
