This Place

‘If you come to this place in the Winter,
Wear gloves upon your hands,
for the dark clouds prevent the sun from warming up the land.

If you come to this place in the Spring,
With birdsong, so neatly put,
The grass is moist and green and springs gently underfoot.

If you come to this place in the Summer,
You’ll have no need for thick clothes,
For the sun will warm you from your head all the way down to your toes.

If you come to this place in the Autumn,
It is such a sight to see,
For in every single season this place is just right for me.’
