The Story Republicans

Amelia Gibbs

Amelia Gibbs

Originally from North Somerset, Amelia has just completed her BA in Acting at Falmouth University. She is an aspiring actor and performer keen to work in many genres of performance and theatre. Most recently she has performed her own solo performance piece – an exploration of her unknown heritage – with CLUB SOLO at the Poly, Falmouth, which she hopes to be reworking and performing in the near future.

Phil Wisdom

Phil Wisdom

Phil has never had a proper job, having been a journalist for the best part of 30 years, but has kept himself sane down the decades with various creative projects, including writing TV and radio comedy; stand-up; as an actor/musician/pyrotechnician with the historical theatre group Hogarth’s Heroes (if you’ve never seen the Charge of the Light Brigade enacted by performing fleas, check them out); and blowing all the money he’d been saving for a pre-war British side-valve motorbike on an MA in professional writing (he’d rather he had the motorbike). He is most familiar to Cornish audiences, if at all, from seven-piece ska/funk/death-folk collective Lost In Space, and has written half of a novel for young adults (the first half, luckily). The Story Republic is his first venture into wandering minstrelsy.
