The 2019 Charles Causley Festival (the 10th of its kind) is planned and prepared.
Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June 2019 will be the main Festival period — with several other events happening outside that weekend, too.
The programme will contain their usual Causley Festival mix of poetry, music, talks, walks, exhibitions, films, activities for children/families, and so on.
Their list of headliners for June 2019 so far includes Penelope Shuttle, Patrick Gale, Alyson Hallett, David Devanny, Kurt Jackson, and Jim Causley. Many other people, attractions and events will also be certain to come together and make up an attractive few Causley-themed days in and around Launceston this summer.
We will be singing, performing and sharing the delightful poetry of Charles Causley. From Janny Jim Jam to One Day at a Perranporth Pet Shop, along to My Young Man’s a Cornishman, the Merrymaid and more again. All of which will be shared with pieces from playwright Nick Darke and Cornish contemporary writers, Annamaria Murphy and Simon Parker.
